Welcome MLK Families
The first 6-week grading period has come to an end today, Friday, September 23, 2011 so families get ready for our first report cards. They should be arriving in the mail in the next couple of weeks.
Also don't forget the school is currently in full swing with its fundraisers. We are selling cookie dough and magazine subscriptions. All students have been given a packet that contains information for parents. Parents please take the forms with you to your work, church, the gym and any where else you can think of to help support our school by selling. Students also received a yellow sheet with coupons that they can turn in for a lanyard and little rocker rubber duck key chains. We still have a few "ducks" to pass out so keep on selling this last weekend. For the items that are sold they have you sign the yellow coupons and they turn them in on next Tuesday, 9/27 with their orders . Please make sure that all monies for the orders are returned with the order form clearly stating your chlid's name and homeroom.
We are also are collecting Boxtops for Education, boxtops4education.com, and Campbell Labels for Education, labelsforeducation.com. You can go online to check out which items give us points and then bring the boxtops or labels from them in to us.
Below are some tips to help your children continue on the right track:
A) Remember we are a uniform school! The uniform is black pants, white collar shirt, and a red button up sweater or the black MLK hoodie. We will be selling the hoodies for only $25. Families help show your king pride and remember to not only buy one for students but get one for yourselves too.
B) Our regular school hours are from 9AM-3:30PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and EVERY Wednesday the school has a late start and runs from 9:40-3:30.
Together we can make a difference in your child's life.
